SRBIO Matcha Powder

Premium Matcha Powder (D1–D8 Graded)

100% Pure Shade-Grown Green Tea | Clean Label | Non-GMO | Gluten-Free

Our Unique D1–D8 Grading System

At SRBio, we do not simply sell “matcha powder.” We classify every batch of matcha using a strict D1–D8 internal quality standard based on three core sensory indicators:

  • Color – brightness, evenness, and shade of green

  • Taste – umami, astringency, bitterness, and aftertaste

  • Aroma – fresh seaweed-like (覆香) notes, grassy or nutty tones

The higher the D number, the higher the quality.

Grade Range Type Quality Level Recommended Application
D1 – D5 Standard matcha Good daily grade Ordinary food & beverage products (baked goods, smoothies, flavored milk, ice cream, confectionery)
D6 – D8 Ritual / Ceremonial matcha Premium high-end grade Direct drinking, traditional tea ceremony, luxury desserts, ultra-premium functional foods

This clear D1–D8 ladder helps our B2B customers easily choose the right matcha for their product positioning and cost targets — without overpaying for unnecessary high grades or compromising on sensory performance.

Product Overview

SRBio Matcha Powder is produced in strict accordance with Chinese national standard *GB/T 34778-2017*: shade-grown tea leaves (Camellia sinensis) → steam (or hot air) fixation → drying → stone grinding into microfine powder.

Our matcha retains “Three Origins & Three Clarities” — original color, original flavor, original texture, with a clean, refreshing taste and a faint grassy note.

Highlights:

  • High nutrient bioavailability (chlorophyll, dietary fiber, fat-soluble catechins, organic calcium, vitamins)

  • Ultra-fine particle size (from 800 mesh to >3000 mesh across D1–D8)

  • Distinctive umami and seaweed-like aroma

Why D1–D8 Grading Matters for Your Business

  • Precise ingredient selection – no more guessing between “food grade” and “ceremonial grade”

  • Consistent quality across batches – each D level is linked to measurable parameters: L-theanine, caffeine, catechin, chlorophyll, and sensory panel scores

  • Cost-efficient formulation – use D1–D5 for high-volume everyday products; reserve D6–D8 for premium lines and higher margins

Nutritional & Functional Value (All D1–D8 grades retain full matcha nutrition)

  • L-Theanine – promotes calm focus (1–4% of dry matter)

  • Catechins (EGCG) – 12–24% of dry matter, strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory

  • Caffeine – 2–5%, sustained energy

  • Chlorophyll – 5–6× higher than ordinary green tea, supports detox

  • Minerals – K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Na, Zn, Se, F

  • Vitamins – C, A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, E, K, H

Even D1–D5 grades offer superior nutrition compared to most standard green tea powders — because every SRBio matcha is made from real shade-grown tea, not green tea powder.

Quality Control Across All D1–D8 Grades

  • Cultivar: Yabukita (Japan-origin, clonal propagation, high amino acid, low caffeine/catechin)

  • Growing region: Guizhou, high altitude, acidic soil (pH 4.5–6.5), no herbicides/pesticides

  • Shading: 20–30 days before harvest → boosts chlorophyll & L-theanine

  • Harvest:

    • D1–D5: machine-picked or blend

    • D6–D8: hand-picked, first flush, once per year

  • Processing:

    • Steam fixation (15 sec) → rapid drying → de-stemming & de-veining → natural stone grinding

    • Stone mills produce only ~1 kg/day per mill → unique torn-flake microstructure

  • Testing:

    • Every batch tested by Eurofins or SGS

    • 200+ pesticide residues, heavy metals, microbiology (<10,000 CFU/g)

  • Certifications: KOSHER, HALAL, ISO9001
